Vieux Cierre - Jack The Horse Tavern - Brooklyn Heights, Bk

$11.00
Cognac, Rye, Benedictine… I can’t divulge the rest of the house recipe but if you like Manhattans or Sazeracs, this is a nice crisp and alcoholic cousin. I tasted a nice hint of orange in there too.
Tucked away in the Fruit Patch of Brooklyn Heights on Cranberry St & Hicks St, Jack The Horse is a nice, chilled out restaurant and watering hole where you can get some refined cocktails and cuisine. I’d recommend stopping in on your BK Heights promenade walkabouts. Plenty of custom Bombevis and Aaron the bartender will probably guess your poison.

Mexican Bulldog Margarita - West Village - NYC

I’m at place called Benny’s on Jane St. and drinking this drink called Mexican Bulldog (x-tra famous frozen margarita topped with a shot og gold tequila. Then put in a corona coronita and watch the fun begin) priced at $7.50 and quite delicious. One sip and I feel like I should on a hot white sand beach. Usually not a big fan of frozen margaritas, more of a margaritas on the rock kinda gal but this drink is very well balanced with the Corona, topping the margarita beautifully.

Bloody Mary - Lokal - Williamsburg, Brooklyn

It’s necessary to alert the public that there is an awesome, refreshing, $4 bloody mary in a prime spot in Williamsburg. Right at the northeast corner of McCarren Park, on Bedford and Lorimer is Lokal, a big, open restaurant with juices, smoothies, and tons of alcohol.
So, this bloody mary is $4 and dope. It’s of the fresh variety - not thick, murky, or crammed with bells and whistles. You have about two or three of ‘em and you’re ready to bike brooklyn, or go do a face plant in the park. Gone are the days of spending $20 on bloody marys at brunch.

Raspberry Pear Mojito with Steaming Dry Ice and M&M Cone - Paris, France
Posted by bombevi in Cocktails, NoveltyBevi on June 23rd, 2009

This drink was a refreshingly crunchy sweet and foaming experience. Not too sweet, even with the fruit flavors. The dry ice added texture and novelty to the drink, and the M&M cone was every girl’s best friend.
Rock-a-delic!

Bloody Mary - Homemade in the Hamptons

A delicious mix of Vodka, tomato juice, tabasco, worcestershire, pepper, olive juice, olives, lemon, and celery for garnish (horseradish optional).
I’m forgetting the exact sensation a little, but I remember myself and the other lovers of this bevi describing it as a sort of double dip roller coaster of taste. It hit you real quick, then eased off, then came back strong again with an amazing finish. This Bombevi was prepared by a yet-to-be-named, approved bevi agent. For now we’ll call her Coffee Novack.

Budweiser and Smirnoff Ice Green Apple

I know what you’re thinking, but it actually tastes good! I’m not saying I’m gonna drink ten of them this upcoming weekend, but if you want to get your young sibling/cousin drunk for the first time at Thanksgiving or something along those lines, this could be the drink.
It may set a wacky, unhealthy precident for the rest of their drinking lives. You may just want to go with 3 Miller Lites… But at least think about it.
Sazerac - The Randolph - LES, NYC

This was one of the best Sazeracs I’ve had in NYC thus far - I was gently taken into that sazzy zone that many know about. I liked the flavor and it came in a big glass, although I think it’s something like $14-$15…
Beverly Tillz, FTBev, Bevrina and I met some bev-friendlies from LA at a Le Tourment Absinthe promotion at this low-key, goodtime spot. With bevi-cunning and a little luck I was drinking these for free (before the long preperation of the saz began, the glass is rinsed with ansinthe, thus using the absinthe and making my drink free). If I was paying, I don’t think I would have had 3 of them.
Bloody Mary - Alchemy - Park Slope, Brooklyn

This is a pretty bomb bloody mary on 5th Ave near Bergen in Park Slope. Even with the most refined palate, this bevi has an unstoppable replay value. It comes in a monster glass has a little of everything in bloody marydom: spiciness, freshness, olives, pickle, lemon, but no celery…
It’s like the Honda Accord of bloodies: Not a head-turner that can go 250, but a nice, reasonably priced ($7), reliable ride. You’re not impressing anyone, though commanding due respect.
Bloody Mary - Trout - Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn

This is a $3 bloody mary. It’s really really spicy and horseradish chunks get stuck in the straw and you might get pepper flakes embedded in the back of your throat, making you cough and sweat.
However, it’s still $3 so if you can endure 3 of these things on a summer night in the chilled out, backyard ambience of Trout its less than $10 and you’ll be drunk or well on your way, all while satisfying your bloodlust for mary.
Bottom line: get your broke ass and your cheap date to Trout.
