Kombucha - High Country - Original - Whole Foods, Union Square, NYC

$2.50
The Turkish Beverage Board still has to acquire it’s taste for Kombucha, but I thought it was ok compared to others like it. I’m still a rookie on the kombucha scene, but it seems like one of these new-wave kombucha’s that have more of a flavor than a real taste.
I was decent though. I kept taking little nips at it throughout the night.

Kombucha Original

Kombucha Original smells terrible and you can see things floating around in it. Long, stringy things… It’s cloudy and altogether appears to be something you should never drink. The vinegary smell helps too. AND it’s $3.50.
I remember trying it awhile ago and thinking the experience was worse than it was this time. But, I actually started enjoying it after a few sips. When I would eat salad as a kid I would drink the vinegar out of the bowl when the salad was done. That might sound gross, but I’m a bevi monster so what do you expect? I was enjoying it almost until the end, but did not finish the entire bottle, which makes me think I probably need to work my up to acquire an affinity to this bevi. Especially since it’s so good for you.
Also, there’s a variety of flavors to try that might make the taste even more enjoyable. Although I do dig the vinegar bouquet of original Kombucha.
Replay value: high - give it a try. The only factor not making replay value really high is the cost.

Seltzer - Vintage
Posted by bombevi in Carbonated, Water on March 11th, 2009

Rapper Kool Keith once said that if you keep seltzer water in your fridge, nobody will ever drink it or steal it, and that’s why he likes it. Well, he’s kind of right. Nobody dislikes seltzer water. You see it pop up often enough. Unless you’re using it as a mixer or hangover cure, you’re not pouring yourself a glass of it or chugging from a bottle of it.
Flavored seltzer waters are another story. And I have recently discovered that Seltzer water with E-mergency packets is a Bombevi for hangovers.
